The nearby Parque de la Huerte (Park of the Orchards) stretches to 30,000m² of gardens – with a lake, fountain and a variety of marked out walking routes. In the heart of the park is the impressive outdoor auditorium which hosts musical events and seats 3,000 people.

The lively town of Alicante with its stunning beaches is easily reached by road or rail. Few will want to miss climbing to the Castle of Santa Barbara and enjoying stunning views of the city or visiting St Mary’s Church – built over 3 centuries on the site of a former Moorish mosque. Not to be missed is a visit to the Explanada de España promenade – a lively boulevard dotted with terraces and pavement cafés and running parallel to one of the town’s wharves.
