Full Description
A very beautiful, traditional village house with spacious rooms, original features and plenty of light from both sides, in addition to being on the edge of the village with easy access and parking outside the house.
This very attractive village house is in very good condition and has been loved and looked after very well by its current owners. The house can be accessed from two sides. The inner side, from the pretty street, with two entrances – one to one of the upstairs bedrooms, and the other from the pretty, plant-filled front terrace (8 x 2.25m). This lovely front terrace is on the North side of the house, meaning cooling shade in the Summer, surrounded by the many potted plants and the magnificent blue flowers of the plumbago bush that rambles freely along the edge of the property, ‘dripping’ flowers over the terrace.
The front door leads into the living room, (5.5 x 3m) with a traditional fireplace with its original plaster moulded surround, something so typical of the old houses in this area. To the right is a door to the downstairs, master bedroom (4.5 x 3m) with a window to the street. This room has an unusually shaped, absolutely delightful en-suite shower room of around 1.5/2m x 2.5/3m.
Back in the living room, straight ahead are double doors to the inner hall (1.5 x 4m). To the left is an opening into the spacious, fully fitted kitchen/dining room (5 x 3m). This lovely room is a room to truly LIVE in, to prepare food while family or friends sit at the table chatting over a drink, and to generally spend time in – not just for eating! It has two windows over the pretty South facing patio garden.
On the other side of the hall are the stairs, and straight ahead are double doors out to the patio garden.
The stairs lead up to a short corridor landing. To the right is the family bathroom with a bath (around 2 x 2m). Ahead, to the left and right are bedrooms 2 and 3, both around 4.5 x 3m with windows to the street. Bedroom 2 to the left, has the door that leads out to the street, an ideal guest room. And bedroom 3 has a pretty juliet balcony and a window, onto the street.
The South facing patio garden on the ground floor is divided into two parts. The main part, accessed straight from the hallway, is around 20m2 and is filled with flowers, a pot-gardener’s little mini paradise, with plenty of space for seating and sun loungers. There are lovely views over the river bed to the South, the hills, and the village as it begins to creep up the hill to the West and North. The patio garden has a full awning, so that it can be shaded, or open to the sunshine, depending on the time of year.
At the far end of the patio are a few steps to a garden wall door that leads straight out onto the street where one can park easily. The steps also lead to a lower patio, with high walls. This area could easily be converted into a splash pool, with part of the plumbing already in place. This area is around 2.2 x 2.5 to 2m. This lower area is totally private and not overlooked from any angle.
And further down, under the kitchen and accessed to the side of the lower patio, is a door to a useful storage room of around 3 x 4m.
Via the riverside road, access in and out of the village is easy. And a walk up the hill leads to the many facilities (shops, bars, restaurants, etc) that this picturesque white Andalusian village provides.
A beautiful house, in great condition, that could equally be used as a permanent home, or a holiday home.
