The municipality of Cuevas del Alamzora is also home to Desert Springs Golf Resort, a desert style Arizona golf course, which enjoys world renown. Cuevas is also the capital of motorcycling hosting the world Supercross championships and there are many other sporting venues being built as Cuevas also hosted events in the 2006 Mediterranean games.
