The village has all the amenities you need for day to day including two supermarkets, one which opens on Sunday mornings, a doctors surgery, chemist, banks, post office, vets, hairdressers and beauty salons, a gym, cafe and tapas bars and restaurants. There is a weekly street market on Saturdays and padel tennis courts plus a communal swimming pool and bar. The larger town of Albox with many more amenities is less than 10 minutes drive away.

For golf lovers there are several local societies and golf courses nearby include Valle del Este in Vera, Desert Springs in Cuevas del Almanzora, Aguillon close to San Juan de Los Terreros. Arboleas has become extremely popular in recent years with British, Dutch, Belgian, German, French and many other nationalities who have chosen to make this their full-time residence or holiday escape in the Mediterranean sunshine. It still retains its Spanish charm with generations of Spanish families still living and working in the village and surrounding area which makes for a lovely mix of cultures.
