A nice (holiday) house with views over rolling meadows and within walking distance of the village!  House The house is situated along a quiet street, surrounded by houses dating from the 1970s, on the edge of the village of Châteauneuf la Forêt. As it is set back from the street, raised, and built over a basement, the balcony offers uninterrupted views of the surrounding area.    The entrance to the property is on the ground floor: a practical space (12 m²/129,16 ft²) for storing coats and shoes, as well as a 2nd fridge or freezer. The solid wood staircase leads upstairs. The ground floor comprises a spacious living room (17 m²/182,98 ft²) with light-coloured laminate flooring and a sliding bay window opening onto the balcony. There is a fireplace in the corner of the living room. It is possible to install a wood-burning or pellet-burning stove: simply connect to the existing chimney flue. To the left is a boiler room. Here you will find oil-fired central heating, storage shelves and a wash-house.    The house is well maintained. It has an oil-fired boiler, low-maintenance PVC windows and roller shutters on the street side. The attic has been insulated with pulverised glass wool (2023). The kitchen and bathrooms will need to be modernised in due course.   Deep garden The entire plot measures 1,090 m² (0,27 acres) and is rectangular. On the street side, the garden faces west and is elevated. A great place to create a terrace between the trees: you can enjoy the sunsets! There are several shrubs and flowering trees. The front has an entrance gate and a fence. The car will mainly be parked in the driveway. Most of the garden is to the rear (east) of the house. The garden has a slight slope. It is large enough for a vegetable garden. It is also large enough for a swing or a second terrace. To its left is a small shed for garden tools. The garden is enclosed.  Access and amenities The lively village of Châteauneuf la Forêt has all the amenities you need, including a large supermarket, two bakeries, several restaurants, a bar, etc. In the centre of the village are the nursery and primary schools, as well as the collège. Medical services are available: a pharmacy, a doctor's surgery, a veterinary surgeon, etc. On the outskirts of the village is a beautiful swimming lake with a sandy beach and campsite. For sports enthusiasts, there are several clubs: football, tennis, handball, gymnastics, etc. The village is about 40 minutes' drive from the centre of Limoges and 50 minutes’ drive to the international airport.
