This ancient, rural community is documented from the 18th century and is within walking distance of Erika's grocery store and the rest of the villages including Santina's trattoria.
At one point, this village and that of San Gemignano si staccarono da Controne were important enough that they became a municipality with its own town hall in Pieve di Controne. It still has a beautiful church in which mass is held.
There is a network of walking paths leading to all the villages which are signposted in yellow.
