Tomar, world heritage Knights Templar city, is where the train and bus station is, as well as all schools and the polytechnic, library and adult education, museum and cinema and the hospital. Tomar is 15 km south from Chãos.
Close by is the river beach of Agroal and the caves and waterfall of NS de Lapa.
