Molina Aterno is an agricultural centre of the Aterno valley situated at the bottom, to the left of the river, placed at 512 metres above sea-level, lovey village in the province of L’Aquila, where life goes on calmly, without smog or stress but only pure air and water, ideal place for amazing nature walks in the Parco Naturale Sirente Velino, in the Gole di San Venanzio or the Grotte di Stiffe.
In the hamlet there are a bar, a minimarketm a pizzeria and a post office, but only 3 km away and more precisely in the suggestive hamlets of Castelvecchio Subequo and Acciano there are restaurants, butchers, bakeries, supermarket, bank and other services.
The enogastronomy of Molina Aterno is strongly connected to bold flavors of the traditional Abruzzese kitchen: on the table there is no shortage of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine, pecorino cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, great truffles produced a few metres from the building and other delicacies.
35 km from the Ovindoli and Campo Felice ski lifts, 26 km from Sulmona, 20 km from the Terme di Popoli.
In two hours there is Rome.
