The cottage, which measures a total of 190 square metres of construction is set on a plot measuring 1323 square metres . The property does require a good deal of renovation work to be carried out, yet is located in a quiet situation and could be converted into a peaceful country retreat. The property has a wooden beamed roof, the roof needs some attention and on the barn side it needs to be completely replaced.

At the moment the property is split in two different parts , the habitation and on the side the annex and storage room.

The main entrance leads directly into a spacious living room, which has a tilled floor and wooden ceiling. Off this living room there are three bedrooms, again with tilled floors and wood ceilings. There is a rustic style kitchen to the rear of the cottage, with a traditional style fireplace. To the back of the property there is aso  bathroom with bath, bidet , toilet and pedestal sink . There is stairs from the back of the house leading to the courtyard at the back of the property which leads out to the property's land.
The annex of the property has been used for storage purposes, but could with work be converted into additional living space quite easily. The annex is a brick built  building.
The property is set on a plot measuring1323 square metres, the majority of which is relatively flat though there are small slopes in places. There are a variety of mature olive and other fruit trees as well as grape vines. The property does have neighbors, though these positioned ia a way that do not impede on the privacy of the property.
The property is located near the town Porto da Lage , which has several cafes, a restaurant and mini-market.
Castelo do Bode lake, which is Portugal's second largest reservoir is around 20 minutes drive 
The larger, historic town of Tomar is around 10-15 minutes drive from the property and is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo. Tomar has a range of supermarkets, shops, cafes, bars, art galleries, weekly market, banks, health centres, hospital, schools, university and bus and train station.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
