This is a hamlet of around 20 houses, in the commune of St Sornin La Marche, which is not far from Bussiere Poitevine and Le Dorat, which is the closest village with shops (12km) so even though the location seems like the middle of rural France; you are only 9-12 minutes away from shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a train station.

Le Dorat is the traditional capital of the Basse Marche and within the ramparts of this ancient town are some fine examples of Romanesque architecture, including the Collegiale Saint-Pierre-de-Dorat. The surrounding area has all year-round attractions including horse racing (French style) sound and light shows; craft days; All year-round markets as well as concerts, tennis, cinema, fishing, sailing, and windsurfing in nearby locations.

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (56kms) and trains in Le Dorat itself (12kms); having links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.

The house has mains water and electricity, drainage is to a Bio Unit which conformed when fitted in 2014. It has wood burning fires and an oil-fired central heating system.

The land is all to the back of the house, at the front you have a large communal grassed area giving distance from the road through the hamlet.

From the living dining room, you go through the French doors onto a wood covered dining area which then leads to a walled/gravelled area with raised platform with pond and a hangar.

The path continues to a decked area with a partially sunken 8 x 4m swimming pool, the area is partially walled and very private. And leads to a further grassed areas with pond and then a gate leading to another grassed area with another pond, after that you have unspoilt countryside.
