This magnificent farmhouse, built in 1900, was once a winery. It is located at the foot of the Cevennes, on the edge of the Ardèche Mountains National Park. The beautiful stone mas is the main house, and the ground floor has been transformed into two well designed guest rooms, with en-suite bathrooms. These rooms open out onto a spacious terrace overlooking the valley, and next door there is a summer kitchen. Upstairs, there is a beautiful glass-enclosed and air-conditioned kitchen, recently installed, with stunning views of the mountains and valley. The living room, with excellent proportions and high ceiling, has a beautiful fireplace with insert. In addition, on this floor there are three bedrooms (one air- conditioned), one currently used as a dressing room, and a bathroom and separate toilet.
The wooden floors are made of solid oak.
In the grounds is the gite, 50m2, with bedroom, living room and open kitchen, and bathroom and toilet. Further on is the Clède, which has been transformed into an atypical guest room, with a bedroom and a beautiful bathroom, stone and glass.
All this is in a large park of 8000m2, well-appointed, with trails and views, and fig trees, apple trees, plums, cherry trees, pomegranates, plums and walnut trees. In addition there is 12000m2 of forest with the estate.
The large infinity swimming pool, heated and salt-filtered, facing south, is a place of tranquility and relaxation, with views as far as the eye can see over the valley.
One of the biggest pluses is that the domain is rated A in energy... invisible photovoltaic panels on the roof produce electricity which is sold to EDF, and solar panels at the back of the house which provide all the hot water for showers, central heating and heated swimming pool
The mas is located at an altitude of 400 meters on a hill 7 km from Les Vans. Les Vans is a typical southern town, with its square shaded by plane trees and the welcoming alleys of its historic centre, where the 17th century church with its listed retables and the covered washhouse are located.
Enjoy local produce in the weekly market, visit an authentic olive oil mill and stroll through art workshops, exhibitions and small, cosy shops.
