AREA DESCRIPTION: For visiting guests the region offers scenic activities such as Monte Cucco Park, Monte Catria, Sibilline National Park, the falls at Monti della Laga. The region is also famous for its caves and mountain passes (gorge) dating from Roman times. Many of the treking paths were built by the Roman army, as this was a transit area to the Adriatic an hour away. On the other hand, if churches, monestaries, castles and museums are more to guest taste, The Marche offers a huge variety in its larger cities. Fans of outdoor sports can take advantage of nearby golf and ski facilities. SITE DESCRIPTION: Design of the 210 square meter building itself is wood and stone, typical of the area. Floors and modern bathrooms are tiled. There are four hotel rooms on the second floor of the structure, over the first level restaurant. It looks out over the piazza, just by the castle of Frontone. On the back of the building guests have a magnificant view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are air conditioned, with a private bathroom, TV, and desk. Furnishings are in the country classic mode, with each room featuring a different arrangement of bedding types to choose.
The restaurant is seasonal, a la carte, with both interior and exterior dining available. Center of the interior restaurant space is a wonderful fireplace, as well as a fully equipped bar.
