Ribemont, a small market town rich in history, is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the château, having a small museum, large supermarket and petrol station, artisan boulangerie, restaurant, pizza parlour, pharmacy and tabac.

Just outside the grounds of the chateau runs the small tourist train, taking in the scenery of the L'Oise valley.From time to time, the dining car, reminiscent of the Orient Express steams along the tracks, offering luxury dining of a bygone age.

The City of St Quentin, 15kms from Lucy, is best known for the Basilique and is a bustling City full of artisan and designer shops, street cafes and beautiful Gothic architecture. A large market is held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Parc Asterix and Disneyland, Château de Pierrefonds (from the TV series Merlin) and dozens of other attractions are also within an hour or so to drive, paintball, golf, tennis are all within 5kms. You can also discover the river L'Oise by kayak with a half or full day river tour from St Quentin.
