The beaches at Foz do Arelho are a five minute drive away. Foz do Arelho has beautiful beaches and the Obidos Lagoon which is calm and ideal for safe swimming with children. There are also water sports on the lagoon and there is a water sports club where you can rent equipment, take lessons etc. There is a lovely promenade where you can walk along the beaches or relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants. In the village are a number of cafes, popular restaurants, shops, mini-markets, banks, pharmacy etc.

Caldas da Rainha is a 10 minute drive. Caldas is a good sized town with a fabulous town centre filled with a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. There are also hotels and a cultural centre where there is a regular programme of music, theatre and performing arts in addition to various events. There is a daily fruit and vegetable market where you can purchase local produce, fruit, vegetables as well as cheeses, breads, flowers and a variety of other local items.

Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are an hour away.
