The present owner of this very interesting house has worked with the original old stones of the building to create a very unusual and quirky home.

On two floors, the ground floor has a large living room with a semi-fitted kitchen at one end, a dining area in the centre and a comfy seating area in the other corner. The room is kept snug by a large old fashioned wood burning stove, and the original stone details and old wood beams add to the character.
An opening in the old stone walls leads through to what was once a hall, but is now a library into the formal dining room. More stone and brick alcoves, and another stone arch invite you into the sitting room.

Upstairs are four rooms, a large landing and a pretty bathroom. At the moment only two of the rooms are used as bedrooms, the others as a study and a craft room. All the rooms have windows to allow light to flood inside, and pretty views across the garden or the rooftops to the village.

The garden is as interesting as the interior! A large covered terrace covers the rear of the house and is a perfect cool spot for summer dining. The second bathroom is also here, a step or two from the living room, and it has a useful utility area housing the washing machine and dryer, and a modern bathroom and shower.

Surprisingly, there is a small shallow pool for hot summer days, and a raised terrace offering further dining space. The garden is planted with lots of aromatic plants, and is easy to maintain.

At the back of the garden is that rare thing in a village house, a garage with ample parking space! This has a separate access along another narrow road through the village. In addition is a stone built storeroom; this could potentially be converted to provide an extra guest room.
