The house has a footprint of 135 square meters, built over three floors and with a plot measuring a total of 665.000 square metros.
The ground floor is built half-way into the ground and consists of a 30 square meter storage room and a space which used to be the wine cellar and could be used as a garage..
Going up exterior stone stairs, we arrive on the middle floor. The front door opens into a den. From here there is a bathroom up front, with pedestal sink, toilet, bidet and bath tub to the left, and a small room to the right.
The den opens into a corridor running the length of the house. To the left there is a living room and a bedroom, to the right there is a second, smaller living room and a second bedroom.
At the end of the corridor there is another, smaller den. From here we have a door to the left to a small pantry and another one to the basic kitchen. The kitchen has a door to the exterior of the house. To the right hand side we have a door to another living room. This room alalso has a door to the exterior.
Another stone stairs to the side of the house lead us to the attic space. The attic has good standing height.
To the rear of the house there is a space which could be converted more useful space, like a bbq area and outdoor kitchen and terrace.
Out the back door on the first floor, there are stone steps leading up into an olive grove from which there are good views
The property is located within walking distance of the center of town of Sertã with all its amenities. Sertã is an attractive historic town built on either side of a stunning river setting. It has many restaurants and bars as well as 3 major supermarkets, banks, schools, library, theater, cultural center, municipal swimming pool and river beach. There are also 2 weekly markets, held every Friday, one selling fruit, vegetables and livestock and the other selling clothes, tools, plants, shoes etc.
Central Portugal is famous for its beautiful river beaches of which there are a dozen located within 30 minutes' drive from this property, including the renowned water sports center at Trízio, where the European wake board championship is held.
Both the university city of Coimbra and the historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, are only a 45 minutes´ drive from the property.
There are a good number of river beaches in the vicinity, and the shores of the Castelo do Bode lake are 15 minutes' drive from the property.
The property is situated at approximately equal distance from Lisbon and Porto airport, both of which are around two hours' drive away. Both airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
