The main towns of Oliveira da Hospital, Arganil and Tabua are 15-20 minutes away. Here you will find shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, doctors pharmacies, schools, and all other conveniences you would expect from a good sized town. There are hospitals in both Oliveira da Hospital and Coimbra.
The city of Coimbra is 45 minutes away. Coimbra is a thriving and exciting university city with many and varied, shops, restaurants, cafes, theatrical venues, cinemas and it is filled with wonderful architecture and history. It is rare you will go to Coimbra when there is not an outdoor event or a show or gallery event in place.
