New month-long event for Brexit buyers

A Place in the Sun Live Digital Event

It’s been a frustrating time for property hunters trying to get out to buy an overseas home, especially with the Brexit clock ticking down in Europe. The possibility of further quarantine rules being suddenly put in place is making it tricky to schedule property viewing trips right now.  So how can buyers progress their plans?

Reasserting their position as the go-to place for overseas property hunters in need of a one-stop shop, A Place in the Sun is creating a month-long virtual event in September to provide the resources and contact with overseas property professionals more normally available at their live exhibitions.

A Place in the Sun Live’s Digital Event is designed to equip anyone planning to buy property in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Cyprus or Florida with everything they need by taking all the popular aspects of the live exhibitions completely online - and then adding in some innovative new extras.

The event is aimed at holiday home buyers and those making a more permanent move and is a new platform-for-the-times designed to give buyers the information and contacts they need right now.

Building on the experience gained from hosting over 30 webinars during May, June and July - events that were so successful with 1,600 viewers registering for the most popular one – A Place in the Sun’s September event provides buyers what they need to know in an entertaining and useful format, while introducing them to overseas property businesses who can help progress their plans.

The event website has three main areas; the Hub is where the webinars take place, the Help Desk answers individual questions via Zoom and instant messaging, pointing potential buyers in the direction of the Exhibitor area where each exhibitor’s properties and services are showcased along with their availability for one-on-one Zoom meetings.

The range of exhibitors includes estate agents, conveyancing lawyers, residency lawyers, tax and wealth management experts, relocation experts and a currency transfer business, each of these companies making their team available for potential buyers to book a Zoom call throughout September.

Interaction between visitors and exhibitors takes place via each exhibitor’s page on the event website. There the buyer will find virtual property tours, company videos, an outline of business services and, crucially, the booking platform for an individual Zoom call. And for anyone not sure of where to start, they can drop into one of the matchmaker webinars to see which companies are best-placed to help them find their place in the sun.

The webinar schedule includes days devoted to sessions covering all the aspects of purchasing or moving to each of the key countries with experts providing property-buying ‘masterclasses’ equipping potential buyers with the tools and knowledge they need.

Needless to say the TV presenters will play a key role, and in a brand new webinar, Jonnie, Jasmine and Laura will each be re-united with buyers from earlier episodes to see how the dream worked out.

A Place in the Sun’s Digital Event will take place daily 1st  – 30th September 2020 on www.aplaceinthesundigital.co.uk.
