The estate has a building capacity of 5,200 sq m, and has access and a large frontage to the municipal -for centuries- and asphalted road (before 1923) that leads 800 m. to the beaches of Vrachynari and Agios Nikolaos Vatsa and 1-1.5 km. to the beaches of Kounopetra and Manias.
The varieties found in this western vineyard are: Muscat, Moschatella, Mavrodaphne and Corinthian raisin.
The property – eastern vineyard of 26,957.52 sq.m. with building possibility of 4,600 sq.m. has a fenced house of 180 sq.m. This plot of land is just 800 m from the nearest beach.
The Winery is one of the oldest in operation in Greece, with historical continuity from the Venetian rule in Kefalonia. It starred in the previous two centuries in the world of wine, and made Greek wine known internationally.
Since 1999, a new dynamic effort has begun, utilizing the excellent local and indigenous – since Homeric times – varieties of the Kefalonian vineyard and the ideal microclimate of Kefalonia. At the same time, the old winery was equipped with modern means and combines traditional winemaking methods, with new ideas and aesthetics, under the absolute protocol and ethical principle of natural wines.
Since 2015, the Winery has a pleasant tasting area and a visitable Wine Museum and Exhibition with Replicas of ancient drinking vessels and Photos of ancient wine vessels.
