Rivalto is a small village: the main square is overlooked by ancient stone buildings and there you can taste the real Tuscan cuisine from a restaurant with panoramic terrace.
The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine in the woods is worth a visit.
In this landscape unchanged for centuries, the olive tree is cultivated, obtaining a quality olive oil production. A few minutes from Rivalto we find the village of Chianni with all the main services. Chianni is of Etruscan origin and it was a medieval castle disputed between the Bishop of Volterra and the Republic of Pisa before finally passing under Florence.
Ideal place for food and wine tours and suggestive itineraries. Always in the landscape are worth a visit “Le Cascate del Ghiaccione”: a beautiful place to go during the summer to walk.
