This two bedroom cottage on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Laquairie, was built in the 1700s or earlier, extended in 1836 and has now been updated. It is perched high above Condat and the Rhue gorge.

It has a large living room, large fireplace, and fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, etc. included in the sale), plus a former cheese cellar, main bedroom with en suite shower room, and a pretty little second bedroom.
On the first floor (67 m2) above the living area is enough room to create additional bedrooms and bathrooms. There is already provision below for a staircase.

The cottage has full oil-fired central heating, a modern Godin wood burning stove.

Outbuildings include a garage (56 m2) with similar space above, and a separate woodshed.
Laquairie is in wonderful walking country and is home to the unique Tranchades, clefts in the rock up to 100 feet deep. The ski resort at Super Besse is half an hour away and offers both downhill and cross country skiing.
