The village also has a stunning castle and mediaeval lavoirs. Many other traditional and original buildings can be found in the village. The surrounding countryside is typically french and very beautiful. With sunflower fields, lakes, pine forests, if you're looking for outdoor activities, this is a good base! There is plenty of horse-riding, wonderful walking and cycling trails, swimming and boating in nearby lakes and rivers. Fishing is also a common pastime in this area.

The beautiful 15 Fontenay-le-Comte is just 15mins away and La Rochelle on the coast is just an hour's drive. This is a great spot to explore.
