Caprese Michelangelo is a charming, medieval, hilltop town of approx. 1500 inhabitants, whose most famous son is none other than the incomparable maestro Michangelo Buonarroti. Caprese Michelangelo is also know for a unique variety of chestnut, which has DOP status (the equivalent of DOCG wine) and which can only be grown in Caprese Michelangelo and part of Anghiari called ‘Marrone di Caprese Michelangelo’.

Shops, supermarkets, banks, etc. can all be found in Caprese Michelangelo together with numerous excellent restaurants in which to taste the wonders of authentic Tuscan cuisine.
