On the outskirts of Altino, in the Briccioli district, is immersed in the bright green of a wild and luxuriant nature. There are thermal springs located in Briccioli. Until the 1960s, the D'Alonzo family who owned these lands had started a flourishing spa tourism. Today thirty-four residents have set up a company, Terme di Briccioli srl and started a series of operations for the restoration and relaunch of the thermal springs.
The airport at Pescara is a 50 minute drive away.
The sandy beaches of the Adriatic coast is only 30 minutes drive away.
Each year the town hosts the two-day festival of the sweet chili, with medieval dress, dancing in the streets and a vast array of dishes prepared using the sweet chilli pepper.
Along the Aventino valley, 12 km from Lanciano, on a mountain crest lies Altino. From this village, an astoundingly rich view can be enjoyed. The fertile territory is covered in vineyards and olive trees and has a high production of fruit.
