Triscina is a small seaside resort that belongs to the municipality of Castelvetrano and is located in the extreme south-west of Sicily in the province of Trapani. It is a summer resort for the neighbouring towns of Palermo, Trapani and Marsala. The beach is really "top", the place lives from it, some bars and shops are also open in winter, but the real life here is from June to the end of September. During the rest of the year it is quiet here, long walks on the beach, bike tours, enjoying the sun and exploring the surrounding area are the order of the day. Mazara del Vallo is also not far away and is home to the largest fishing harbour in Sicily. Sciacca and Menfi are also interesting excursion destinations just a few kilometres away. Even closer is the largest archaeological site of ancient treasures in Europe, just a few minutes away: Selinunte.


The property

This property is located in the street number 52 A, which is approximately the centre of the village of Triscina. From here it is only 15 metres to the village street, where most of the shops and bars are located. The street in front of the house is also asphalted and you can park both in front of the house and in the large courtyard.
The house is spread over three levels, with the living area with kitchen/living room and toilet on the ground floor and three bedrooms and a second bathroom on the first floor. The huge roof terrace of approx. 65 square metres is located above, from here you have a great sea view.
Even though this house is lived in during the summer, it is in need of complete renovation. There are no cracks or damp in the walls, but everything looks old-fashioned and has not been used for a long time.

Triscina is a seaside resort, but - when the photos were taken - it was mid-November and even at this time of year I saw lots of people in the village. There is a small supermarket nearby and a large bar open all year round. From here it's a 10-minute drive to Castelvetrano, where you'll find all the shops and DIY stores. Castelvetrano has a motorway access and Palermo airport is about 40 minutes away. The owners are asking €90,000 for this property, which seems justified given its location and size. The amount of the renovation costs depends on how much you are able to do yourself and what you are looking for in a flat.
