In winter grab your skis and head for Ax les Thermes which has fantastic slopes and is an easy hour's drive.You could even finish your day with a soak in the thermal baths!

Quillan is served by two international airports, Carcassonne (1 hour) and Perpignan (1 hour 20 mins) with budget flights from a number of UK airports. There is a good coach link between both these airports and Quillan, at very modest cost. Carcassonne also has a TGV station if you prefer to travel by rail.
