It is close to the municipalities of Alcalá la Real, Alcaudete, Martos and Valdepeñas de Jaén. The San Juan, Ranera and Susana rivers flow through it and the source of the San Juan river is a near by popular tourist attraction.  Every year the town holds a famous cherry festival following the harvest and several other fiestas throughout the year.  The town has all the amenities you need including bars, shops, restaurants and banks.  There is also a nice outdoor swimming pool with its own bar open in the summer months.
