Description complète

In the historic centre of the tiny medieval village of Serrazzano, located 500 metres above sea level and about 40 minutes drive from the coast, we find this lovely house in excellent general condition equipped with a district heating system.

CASA SANDRA has its own independent entrance from the tiny road of the village and on the ground floor has a garage used as a storage room, a large and convenient room used as a laundry and a technical room, with an overall surface area of 50 square metres.

On the first floor we find the actual house of approximately 70 square metres consisting of a living room connected to the small kitchen, a further living room from which there is a view of the sea in the distance, 1 large bedroom, a passage room currently used as additional bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
It should be noted that the ceiling of the house is high, 2.50 metres but as it was built several centuries ago, the house is urbanistically and cadastrically habitable.

The history of Serrazzano, a village built around the castle built by the Lombards, is similar to that of Pomarance, Pisa and Volterra, at least until the Middle Ages with Etruscan and Roman origins. Serrazzano still preserves the characteristic aspects of the medieval village and offers pleasant paths in the characteristic streets and along the walls that still remain on the south-east side.
Pomarance is a village at the centre of the Val di Cecina and was long fought over by bishops and the municipality of Volterra. Pomarance is right in the heart of the “Valle del Diavolo” strongly characterized by geysers found all over the area. In the historic centre of the town you can admire the three doors and the square of San Dalmazio from the 12th century.
The Museum Casa Bicocchi, other than being a perfectly conserved palace, also houses the Soldiers and Artisans permanent exhibition. Several of the Val di Cecina’s archaeological finds are displayed here from Prehistoric times to the Middle Ages.
Nearby there are 2 nature reserves: the Berignone Forest Nature Reserve and the Monterufoli-Caselli Nature Reserve, rich in woods and spots populated by numerous fauna and rich in trails that can be traveled on foot, some on horseback and even by mountain bike.
It’s possible to reach the coast and its beautiful sea in one hour drive.
