The property is in the panoramic village of Agnino, on the scenic road between Licciana Nardi and Fivizzano (just 5 kms away). Fivizzano is often referred to as the Florence of Lunigiana and this medieval walled town is both beautiful and practical with supermarkets, restaurants and coffee bars and a beautiful, ancient piazza with Medici fountain in the middle. The bustling town hosts many cultural events over the summer with concerts in the piazza and reenactments of medieval parades and with its musical heritage the town also attracts international musicians during its annual folk music festival. There is a hospital, shops and restaurants. The rolling landscape is liberally sprinkled with castles of Medici or Malaspina vintage and for lovers of the coast the sea is only just over half-an-hour away. The golden sandy beaches around Lerici and the pebble coves of the Cinque Terre (UNESCO World Heritage site) are ideal for swimming and sailing. The area is criss-crossed with marked footpaths for walks to the hills and mountains. Within easy reach of great days out to Florence, Lucca and Pisa and with Pietrasanta, Viareggio and Portofino on the coast.The airports of Pisa, Parma and Genova are all just over an hour away.
