Description complète

Set in a breathtaking location, surrounded by olive groves and with distant sea views, this well-presented house offers flexible accommodation.

Detached stone villa set in an open setting, on the edge of Fosdinovo with sea views. The house has been renovated with attention to detail by the artist owner. The house villa offers flexible accommodation and can be used as one house, or as two independent units (one upstairs and one downstairs).

The accommodation comprises: entrance into a large living room, delightful kitchen with ancient tiles, marble and an exposed stone wall, store room/artist's studio, single bedroom and large bathroom on the ground floor; up a slate staircase is a large living room which opens onto a large balcony with views towards the sea, and has a large wood burning fireplace, smaller kitchen with marble and slate, two double bedrooms, large bathroom with granite with bath and shower. From this level is an independent entrance with access to the garden to the rear of the house. Outside the patio and the garden offer additional space to enjoy the sun and the view on the valley and the sea.The property includes a land of 5,000 square meters adjacent to the house with 50 olive trees. Ample parking. Central heating and solar panels. Possibility of a swimming pool (subject to planning).

Both the coastal areas of Versilia and the Gulf of the Poets are 7 km away. Sarzana also has a train station with direct trains to Pisa, Florence and the Cinque Terre.

The Gulf of the Poets is a beautiful bay guarded by a group of three islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. There are exceptional fish restaurants, as well as opportunities for sailing, canoeing, snorkelling or just relaxing on one of the beaches hidden in the craggy bays around Fiascherino or Tellaro. The easiest way to get around the gulf is by boat which runs between Lerici, La Spezia and Portovenere and on to The Cinque Terre. The name Gulf of the Poets is from the literary connection as some of the world’s most famous poets including Shelley, Byron and DH Lawrence lived here at some time.

Lerici and San Terenzo offer golden sandy beaches with views to the islands and pretty piazzas with cobbled lanes which host some of the best restaurants in the area. Lerici itself is dominated by the castle with the old village of coloured houses huddled on the steep hill dropping down to the sea and the marina. The little lanes of Lerici have many colourful shops and restaurants so it is the perfect place of the evening stroll, the 'passeggiata'. The area is beautiful.

Distances: Sarzana 10 kms, Lerici (beaches) 17 kms, Cinque Terre 35 km, Lucca 70 kms, Pisa (airport) 75 kms, Florence 140 kms.
