FINCA.  This property was originally built in 1924 and has vaulted ceilings throughout.





OUTSIDE.  Entrance to the Finca is via double metal gates opening up onto a large area with parking for several vehicles.  To the left is the entrance to the double garage and the spiral stairs that lead to the upstairs studio annex.  In front is the main house and to the right is the pool area and a separate plot of land which is around 5,000m2 which is not fenced.





FRONT COVERED TERRACE.  A large covered area which has doors into the master bedroom and a door into the interior corridor leading to the kitchen and utility room.





INNER HALLWAY.  As you enter the property from this entrance you are into an inner hallway which has 2 bedrooms (one to the left and the other to the right) and ahead is the lounge.

STUDIO OR ANNEX.  Up the spiral staircase from the side of the front covered terrace you walk into a large room with a vaulted ceiling and a built in wardrobe.  Door leads to the bathroom which has a corner shower unit, wash hand basin and w.c.





GARDENS.  As you come out of the outbuildings, to the left is a gate into the walled pool area.  The pool is 10x5 and the pool pump is to one corner.  The remainder of the gardens are mainly laid to shale and has several mature trees and shrubs.  In the far end of the garden near the entrance gates you will see a brick chimney which is a light well down to the cave part of the 2nd property.  Here also is a metal gate which leads to the other Villa.


 


VILLA.  This property is a newer addition.  Has a separate gated entrance and vaulted beamed ceilings throughout.  The villa is plumbed for central heating which will need to be installed if required.





OUTSIDE.  Entrance into the villa is via double metal gates leading onto a graveled garden with parking for several vehicles.  Covered porch area and car port to the right hand side.  The villa also has guttering.





COVERED PORCH.  A lovely shaded area with a door leading into the lounge.





LOUNGE.  An extremely large lounge with a door to the kitchen, doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms and steps down to the cave area.  A stone plinth in one corner houses the fitted log burner. Vaulted beamed ceiling.





KITCHEN.  An extremely large kitchen diner which is part tiled and fitted with a range of wall and base units and marble worktops.  An alcove is ideal as a dining area or could make this into a utility room.  In the main body of the kitchen itself lends itself to a centre island or has room for a large dining table and chairs. CAVE.  Steps from the lounge lead down into the cave.  To the left is a room set out as a bedroom with stone built side tables, good size inner space which has the original water troughs which have been left as a feature and there is a small alcove to the right.  Ahead is a light well that leads up to the garden of the Finca.  This could also be used as a fireplace.





CAR PORT.  To the side of the property is a covered car port and a door to a store room.





STORE ROOM.  Housing the electric water heater and piping for the radiators.





GARDENS.  A graveled garden with some mature olive trees and shrubs.





ADDITIONAL LAND.  The land to the side of the property is not fenced and is accessed via a track from the Villa.  Currently not being used but could be an orchard, vegetable garden etc.





Barinas village, just 5 minutes’ drive away, is a small, typically Spanish village, with 2 general stores, bars/cafes, a church, builder's merchant, ferreteria, medical centre and sports centre with open air swimming pool. There is a market on a Tuesday morning, where you can get lots of fresh fruit and veg, and an assortment of other stalls. It is famous for its seafood restaurant, Casa Felix, which hosted the previous King of Spain on numerous occasions. People come from far and wide to eat at this gourmet restaurant.


Macisvenda is the next closest village, again with typical Spanish amenities.


About 10 minutes away you enter the Hondon Valley, which boasts two lovely villages, Hondon de los Frailes and Hondon de Nieves. These well-appointed centres are modern and attractive, with a decent sized British and European population. They have numerous restaurants to cater for all tastes, a British food shop and lots of activities throughout the year.


Around 20 minutes to the north is Pinoso, one of the richest towns in Spain due to the vast amounts of marble being mined from the surrounding hills. It is quite a large town, with supermarkets, bars, cafes, restaurants and many shops. A lovely buzzing town!


To the south, around 15 minutes, is another decent sized town, Fortuna, famous for its health spas. Again, there are many bars, cafes, shops and amenities as befitting this size of town.


Further afield is the famous spa town of Archena with Murcia city, Mazarron, Cartagena and many interesting towns and villages en route.


Barinas is situated approximately 45 minutes from Alicante airport, approximately 30 minutes from the new Murcia International airport, and 45 minutes from the nearest beaches. The beautiful Valencia city is an hour and a half away, Barcelona around 3 hours, and Madrid 4 hours.
