An exceptional property:
The ruin has a footprint of 357 m², it was a two-story high-rise house with wine cellar and storage.
The land totals 12.340 m², and has its own lake. Many ko carps live in this lake. The land benefited from intensive, creative and costly works of landscape architecture.
There are underground drains, made with gigantic pebble, gravel and geotextile canvas, to channel the waters from various springs to the lake. There is an automatic irrigation system using lake water set up in various sectors. We have an artesian bore hole with pump, which provides abundant water and can even be used by gravity. There are also two wells, one with water pump and the other well prepared to put a water pump. In a higher location on the land, we have a water tank with automatic sensor. There is water and electricity distribution throughout the property. The property has a three-phase electric connection.
There are dozens of trees of a wide range of species, including olive trees, fruit and decorative trees, many Washington palm trees, cedars and more. There is automatic irrigation all over the land, and a dozen taps. There are also several electricity points and lamps. On the park-like premises we find numerous large glazed ceramic vases.
The 'heart' of the land is a decked terrace with bar, water spots and decorative fountain. We have outdoor lighting on the terraces adjacent to the lake.
We have a wooden shelter, equipped with air conditioning, tv, with fridge, induction stove and furniture, an excellent space to relax for a few hours or a even few days. Or to stay while the buildings works on the house are being carried out.
Next to the shelter there is a staircase which leads us to an underground area, where we have two toilets and a separate shower with hot water, and a hand wash basin.
We have sustaining walls to compensate for the slight elevation of the land. More than 80 trucks delivered stones and boulders which were used for foundations, drains and the dry stone walls.
The footprint and total construction area of the ruin, all of which can be legally re-built, allows for the construction of any type of house. The property is completely fenced, and has a lot of privacy.
The property is located 4 km from Cabaços, 9 km from Alvaiázere, 11 km from Ferreira do Zêzere, 30 km from Tomar. Lisbon airport is 155 km away and Porto airport is 187 km away.
