MOFAB was established 14 years ago as a welding, fabrication and machine shop to service the yachting industry and soon developed a reputation for excellent quality, reliability and efficiency. MOFAB specialises in design, repair and fabrication in stainless steel and aluminium.

MOFAB can manufacture and repair bimini frames, pulpits, boarding ladders, solar panel frames, stantions, rails, sea water sieves, deck hardware and more. MOFAB works with bronze, carbon steel and other metals and can import and supply materials on demand.

The premises comprise three 20 foot containers arranged as a secure workshop and small office plus a 40 foot storage container. The buildings are in the ownership of the business and the land is leased at an annual rent of EC$5,000 (US$1,875).

The main equipment comprises a 340 amp TIG AC/DC welder, oxyacetylene welding equipment, drill press, 180 amp MIG welder, 200 amp portable TIG welder, 30 gallon compressor, polishing wheel, 14 x 40 lathe with all required accessories, benchtop, milling machine and accessories, taps, dies, mill bits, etc., grinding wheel, 180 amp Miller TIG welder, hydraulic pipe straightener, pipe bender, tube puller, small generator. There are numerous other small and hand tools.

The storage container holds around US$5,000 of working materials and there are around US$10,000 of consumables held within the workshop.

The premises has its own water storage and supply and private toilet facilities.
