In the oldest part of the town of Lajatico, an original portion of an historical building, on three levels, which is within a tower dating back to 1700. The property has been recently renovated with all the original features retained and the character is well preserved. A particular feature is the large, terraced garden overlooking the cypresses and the valley.

The entrance is from the village lane, through a green door that opens onto an entrance room which is used as a sitting room, and then passes to the second room with a view of the garden and the village, and this is also a very spacious and bright living room. On the same floor (street level) is the bathroom with bath. An imposing stone staircase leads to the first floor where there are two large bedrooms with original terracotta floors, beams and bricks and high ceilings. Also from the living area (the street level) you can go down a wooden staircase to the kitchen area, nicely fitted and equipped and with fireplace and doors out to the loggia and the large garden with gazebo, where it is wonderful to spend the warm summer evenings. Perfect for eating 'al fresco'.

Andrea Bocelli is a world renowned tenor and Lajatico is his hometown. Every year in July he hosts an important international festival at his 'Teatro del Silenzio', his specially created open air amphitheatre and during this week music lovers come from all over the world to listen to the wonderful performances of Bocelli and other important international artists. Andrea Bocelli is often seen in the square or at his restaurant where he samples, and encourages others to sample, the local specialties of his expert chefs. The town of Lajatico is located in Valdera in Central Tuscany between Pisa and Florence. This colourful landscape of rolling hills is dotted with medieval villages, castles and lanes flanked with tall green cypress trees which epitomizes the Tuscan landscape. The area is scattered with historical towns and medieval villages, castles and country churches and a landscape with golden meadows of wheat dancing in the breeze, vineyards, olive groves and fields of sunflowers.
