Full Description

A beautiful, rustic village house, in excellent condition, divided into main house on two floors plus lower, independent annexe, with a lovely walled garden with mature avocado and cytrus fruit trees, several patios and a small pool.

This charming village house is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet village location in stunning countryside, and a real authentic feel – and with the chance to have a small rental or guest unit too!

Located in the picturesque, sleepy mountain village of Cutar, just 10 minutes’ drive from the larger village of Benamargosa and within half an hour of the coast, this delightful house has so much to offer: charm and original rustic features, comfortable, well maintained accommodation, a garden with mature fruit trees, a splash pool and a 1 bedroom annexe requiring light renovation with its own entrance from the street.

Villages can be noisy in Andalusia, but this village is peaceful and quiet – except during the village fiestas – and this property is located on the edge of the village on a very pretty, and very quiet street. Cutar has a bar/restaurant, a shop and a chemist, all very close to this property.

The front door leads off a small front terrace overlooking the street and the countryside. A hallway just inside the door (2.8 x 1.5m) has two doors off to left and right. To the left, is the front bedroom (4 x 3m) with a window to the front. To the right, the downstairs bathroom (3 x 1.5m). Ahead, an archway leads through to the delightful living room, with beamed ceiling (7.5 x 3m) with double doors straight ahead leading out to the main terrace. To the far left of the living room is a door to the fully fitted kitchen (3.5 x 3m), large enough for a kitchen table.

Stairs lead up from the living room, by the kitchen, to the upper level, with a landing. To the left, the upstairs bathroom (missing a shower unit but there is space to add one (1.8 x 1.8m plus large cupboard). Ahead is bedroom 2 (5 x 3m) with a beautiful balcony overlooking the garden below. And next door is bedroom 3 (5 x 3.5m). A door from the landing leads out to a terrace, (3.5 x 3m) which has steps up to a large top terrace (8 x 4m). Both of these terraces having stunning, panoramic views over the mountains, countryside and the village.

Back down in the living room, the double doors lead out on to the main rear terrace (5.3 x 5m). This is a secluded, private terrace with views and access to the lower pool terrace and the gardens and is ideal for outdoor living, relaxing and dining. A few steps lead to the lower terrace, with an in-ground splash pool. There might be the potential to increase the size of this pool, or just leave it as it is, maybe adding a pool filter and skimmers, which would allow the pool to keep its water longer.

Some steps lead down from here to the garden, a shady, cool and tranquil space with mature avocado and other fruit trees, with a little tool shed to one side and a barbecue area.

Just above garden level is the guest apartment. This has its own access via a separate front door from the street, leading into a room of 3.2 x 3m with a deep alcove to one side (around 3 x 1m). To the left is a door into a small kitchen, a little old fashioned at present, with a window over the countryside.

An opening to the rear of this room through thick walls leads into the second room which could be either a living room or a bedroom (or both!). This room is around 4 x 3m and has a door out to the rear garden patio dedicated just to this apartment, overlooking the garden, (2.5 x 4m) with a delightful pergola covered in lemons from the lemon tree. To the left of the back room is a utility area and a bathroom (3 x 1.5m).

The apartment even has its own little side garden, with garden gate to the street.

The apartment has plenty of original character features and with a little improvement, it would make a wonderful guest annexe for family, friends and even paying guests.

A simply charming house in a location that is second to none for those seeking peace and relaxation.
