Discovering this street (with easy parking just around the corner), is like walking back in time! A natural archway of pink bourganvillea leads us into a semicircle of ancient town houses along a narrow, pedestrian street with tables and chairs laid out for the neighbours to enjoy. In front of the house is a long strip of completely flat land, wonderfully tangled and overgrown, with the tall cyprus and palm trees, offering us a hint of how is must have once been – elegant gardens with high trees and flowering bushes, casting dappled sunlight across the garden path .
