There is always something going on here. The weekly fresh produce market, night markets and, of course, the annual 'Swing festival', Monsegur is a highly sought after location. Although there is no private parking with the house, there is plenty of parking in and around the square.

There are a number of restaurants, cafes and shops as well as a cinema, pharmacy, doctor, school and a supermarket on the edge of town. The river Drops runs along at the edge of town and there are some beautiful river walks. It's the perfect spot to cool off on a hot day, or wander down with picnic and enjoy a long, leisurely lunch in the summer. Monsegur is just 10mins from Duras with its' famous chateaux and excellent selection of pretty restaurants and cafes, it's a popular destination for visitors. The centre of Bordeaux (and the airport) are just over an hour's drive. Alternatively, you could head south to the city of Agen, which is also just over an hour's drive.
