Walking up a few steps of the external staircase, you come to the main entrance of the first floor of the house. The first floor offers 3 well sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub. The open plan kitchen offers lots of storage and is well equipped. The dining and lounge area is very well sized and bright with fire place for winter days.
Next to the kitchen is a balcony door to the large covered balcony overlooking the garden and the green surroundings with a distant sea view.
The house can be cooled in summer with A/C units and offers oil central heating with radiators throughout the house and a fire place for colder winter days. The fire place has an electrical ventilation system.
Walking down the wooden internal staircase you enter the art room of the current owner that could also be a kitchen (as it was before). There is a laundry/storage room and another bathroom with shower. The bedroom of this level is very large and is used as a music room with a lot of light coming through the windows and doors. Going out through the terrace door you enter a large sitting area.
The pool is electrically heated for winter and can also be heated through the oil burner of the central heating. Additionally the pool is currently being covered to save energy when heating the pool in winter. The pool cover can be slided to one side of the pool to open it.

Although larger in size it still boasts some charmingly peaceful kafenions around the crossroads and some very well thought of cafes and tavernas serving typical Cretan food, served in a traditional manner. A co-operative was founded here with the aim of rebuilding and restoring houses in the village, which lends to its charm. There are regular exhibitions held (art, photography etc) and music nights. It also well worth the walk to the upper part of the village, where most of the villagers live. There is a good butcher and mini markets. There is also the Vamos Health Centre on the outskirts of the village.
