Full Description

The property is located 15 km east of the city of Volos, in the wider area of Mount Pelion, (Kato Gatzea). Its orientation is South and thus it offers ideal climatic conditions. The steep ground ,as well as the relief of the area , provides unrestricted views combined with zero humidity due to altitude (approximately 50m) at a distance of only 80m from the sea. The property covers an area of 2400m2 and has accessibility from both the South and North side. On the South side, we find a well protected garage area from where we start our small trip…..Next to the rocky cliff, we take the unique wooden staircase made of large chestnut trees (40 steps). After another 100 stairs under pine trees we reach the courtyard of the smaller house which is a double decker with its entrance is on the upper floor. Entering the house we enter the living room (size 35m2) covered by exposed wood, chestnut tree roof and in a special recess, the kitchen area. At the top floor there are
5 windows of classic Pelion technique. A balcony door leads us to the terrace (dimensions 2 X 7m) which overlooks the entire Pagasetic Gulf. Going down the internal staircase we will find an impressive 45m2 bedroom with fireplace, adorned by three large arches which separate it aesthetically into two parts. Here is also the bathroom of the house made of handmade marble tiles . At the back of the room towards the mountain, there is a double-leaf narrow door. When someone opens it, they immediately lose their orientation. In front of their eyes is a long corridor in the direction of the mountain !!! This is an underground tunnel 15m long and 2m wide (1m wide throughout length occupied by storage spaces), in the end of which there is a revolving wooden staircase which leads vertically, in one of the front rooms of the other house. The second and larger house is located amphitheatrically behind and above the smaller (without depriving something of the view, which becomes even more impressive due to the greater altitude). We find ourselves at the ground floor (100m2), were the details and peculiarities that govern the construction of the villa are on display. This floor includes 4 bedrooms and a very comfortable bathroom with large inset tub. Going up from the wide wooden staircase, we are welcomed by the image of another wooden roof, which adorns the living room (75m2).The chestnut tree logs that were used to build the roof, due to their size, were cut and elaborated on the mountain to achieve the desired result. Handmade floor plates of unparalleled appearance and various sizes, decorate the floor. The stone made fireplace supported by two built in sofas, an imposing monastery table (8cm thick wood) with eight chairs ,and a wide bench made of exposed brick, separating the beautiful kitchen with the oak floor, complete the description of the living room area. The top floor is supported by a large WC with shower which is decorated with blue handmade tiles and materials of high aesthetics. The terrace can be considered as a boat bridge, with a breathtaking view and dimensions of 2.5 X 10m it satisfies even the highest demands! Exiting, at the north side, by the entrance of the big house we find ourselves on the courtyard on the east side of which there is a sheltered area with two tables (an outdoor living room area) with kitchen, gas installation, barbecue, washing machines for clothes and dishes etc. In the west side of the courtyard we find the asymmetric pool 35m2, lined with glass 2x2cm mosaic, a feature which gives a wonderful turquoise look to the water. Next to the pool area we take the stone steps up, to lead us to the north parking area where we meet a small stone warehouse. From this point on the S shaped private road begins.
