This Andalusian countryside home has some quirks but has charm and heating; two things that aren't always available in country properties of this price. The plot is fenced and there is an additional wall and fence closer to the house. The outside space has lots of seating areas, a grassed section with childrens play area, a stable, a large store room, veggie patch, terracing, and an area perfect for chickens. There is room to install a pool. To one side of the house a lot of the land included in the property boundary is a large hill which to be honest is of no use other than as a pretty feature. The house is very close to a river which the owner assures us that in 15yrs of living here has never flooded the garden. Water for the house comes from a well and is untested for drinking. There is mains electricity but no internet connected but this would be easy to do. The terrace immediately outside the kitchen and sitting room has a wall and lockable gate, and the terrace itself is part covered. There is another terrace to the side of the house and up some steps with a BBQ area, food prep area and pretty niches in the walls for candles. A decorative double sided raised pond is on the terrace near the store room and the gabion walling is very prettily done. The windows are good quality wood double glazed and the door to the kitchen is a very nice stable style split door. This leads to an open area where the kitchen is to the right down a couple of steps. There is a wood burning stove in the kitchen. This space has room for a breakfast table big enough for four people. There is an island in the kitchen with the hob and oven built in with wooden worktop surround. Opposite this is the rest of the prep space, also wood worktops, plus double Andalucian style round sinks, with storage underneath the worktop. To the left of the stable door is a large room which is currently used as a dining room and sitting room. This room has a central metal and stone staircase to the top floor. The room has lots of light, direct access to the terrace and some pretty stone wall features. Off this sitting room is a utility room with electric water heating, plumbing for a washing maching, a sink, some worktop and a cupboard. Just off this utility room is a large nicely done shower room with decorative exposed stone walls, a round basin, plenty of space for bits and pieces plus traditional style under sink shelving. Up the stairs you come to a bright hall with a double bedroom that has its own terrace to one side, a sitting room with pellet burner off the other side and another staircase that leads to a mezzanine level that could be an office or a spare bedroom . Off the sitting room is a large bedroom with pellet burner, a spiral staircase which leads to a blind turret (a door needs to be installed to access the turret) and an unfinished bathroom. The house is being sold unfurnished but with the possibility of furniture being sold separately. The biggest drawback with this house is the access. Please ask for more details.
