The Cite Mediavale, as the old walled town is known is a 15min walk from the property.

The fortified city of Carcassonne looks like something out of a children's storybook when it's seen from afar. A Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997, it's most people's idea of the perfect medieval castle.

The city is surrounded by vineyards and castles and ancient villages. The nearest golf course is at the domaine d'Auriac, 5 kms away. The Mediterranean can be reached in 45 minutes by car. Perpignan, Toulouse, the Pyrennees and the Spanish border are also within easy reach.

Carcassonne Airport with budget flight connections to the UK and elsewhere is 6 kms away and the railway station is just 1 km from the property. There are also airports at Beziers and Toulouse.
