This enchanting country estate is like a small village and stands in 1.5 hectares of lovely green land with some ancient trees: olives, ashes, fig and cork oaks plus the swimming pool.

The estate has a total of 600m2 of covered space and the architectural whole is composed of a water mill, 2 houses, one "pavilion", a study, a garage and small support outbuildings.

At the time it was bought it was in ruins, the restoration finished in the year 2000.

The mill, the first habitable building, is an 18th century construction, which was restored respecting the architectural particularities and the construction techniques of that period and also of the region.

The original walls were retained and old tiles were used to re roof the property. The ceiling, made of wood, is crossed by rafters and the floor is made of handmade tiles. The grinding area is around 120m2. The living room, kitchen and dining room are together in a wide single area, and there is a big outside patio at the same level.

The library, of around 15m2, is separated by an arch and there is a basement with a large storage area and a pantry.

The connection to the bedrooms is made through the hallway, where the main door and the guest bathroom are located. It has 2 rooms: a bedroom of around 30m2 with en suite bathroom and a walk-in-closet and a 12m2 bedroom or study. Both rooms have access to a covered patio with an area of around 50m2 in total.

In the second house the same construction materials were used, but in a more "erudite" way. It extends in length, like the traditional Alentejo manor house and is composed of a single area, with a kitchen, a 40m2 dining room and a 30m2 living room.

There are 2 bedrooms: a 55m2 suite with bathroom and a walk-in-wardrobe and a 23m2 bedroom with an adjacent bathroom.

The third house (caretaker's house around 60m2 total area) comprises a single area, with a living room/ dining room and a kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

The "pavillion" (around 40m2 total area) is composed of 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

The study has 3 rooms, one of them quite wide, with 60m2 of total area.

The garage is 35m2.

The outbuildings are composed of 2 "engine rooms", one of them with an adjacent covered patio. There is a tiny "study"(like a solitary cell) in the highest end of the property, with a little viewpoint with bench seats.

There is a small swimming pool overlooking the creek, that was created from what was a watering tank.
