This fabulous villa has everything you could possibly need. It has been very well maintained, inside and out and is ready to move into. The rooms are generously sized and the layout has been well thought out. The main entrance is to the front of the property, underneath a covered porch but the more convenient entrance would be via the back door as it is closer to garage and parking area.
The property's exterior space is excellent. The porch area beside the pool has a breakfast bar and the barbecue area is to the other side of the pool. The tennis/basketball court is on a lower level.
When we enter via the main entrance, we enter into a good size entrance hall. To the right is the open space living room which then wraps around and extends into the kitchen. There is also direct access to the kitchen via the entrance hall.
The kitchen has lots of cupboards, meaning plenty of storage. It has a large electric hob and a built in oven, microwave and dishwasher. The fridge freezer is an American style one with a water and ice dispenser.
Now back in the hallway, to the right is a family bathroom that has a bathtub and his and her sinks. On this level there is in total three bedrooms. One of them is en-suite and all have builtin wardrobes. All of the bedrooms have great amounts of natural lighting.
The property's loft space has been converted, giving the house two large and spacious rooms that have endless possibilities as to what they could be used for. When we go up the stairs, the room to the left is being used as a bedroom and the one to right is being used a games room. There is a bathroom on this level that has a shower cubicle. Storage up here isn't a problem either as all of the eaves have been made into storage.
Now on the lower level, we have what could easily be an independent two bed apartment. It has two spacious bedrooms, a gym area, laundry room, an open space kitchen diner and living room and then a good size bathroom. It does have it's own access from the exterior so if you did want to rent it out, then it would just be a case of closing off the internal access.
The property is situated in the small hamlet of Portelinhas which is only a short one minute drive from the nearest cafe bar, post office, pharmacy, doctors surgery and restaurant at the neighbouring village. The larger town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, is around 10 minutes drive from the property.
Tomar is a bustling market town with a variety of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, banks, health centres, hospitals, schools, bus and train station and university. The property is also only a short 10 minute drive from Castelo do Bode lake, which is popular for all kinds of water sport activities.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
