The location



This lovely home is located just outside the friendly village of Agios Dimitrios in West-Mani, Peloponnese. Agios Dimitrios is a small picturesque fishing village. At the harbor a shipbuilder is operating one of the last workshops for the traditional wooden fishing boats. Both swimming and especially snorkeling are perfect in and around Agios Dimitrios. The next sandy beach is also only about 600 meters away.



Agios Nikolaos is very close to the home, and there one finds a number of tavernas, bars and shops. One can easily use Agios Nikolaos as a base of exploration, from where to tour the majestic Taygetos mountains, get to know the imposing towers of Mani in Lakonia, the local picturesque churches and other unique small villages.



You can also visit Stoupa, the neighboring village, where the famous writer Nikos Kazantzakis lived and worked. Or you can visit Kardamyli where you can walk the paved narrow streets at the old village and admire the ruins of the medieval castle and the ancient fortifications.



You will also conveniently reach Kalamata International Airport in just over 1 hour by car.
