Full Description

This magnificent ‘King of the Hill’ stone villa is located near Giolou and has stunning panoramic sea and mountain views.

We have advertised many properties over the years where the views have justifiably been described as stunning but this villa has possibly the most spectacular views of any that we have advertised.

Giolou is a village approximately 15 minutes drive from the town of Polis and 20 minutes drive from the crystal clear water at the upmarket marina of Latchi

From the sea views through the valley to Polis Bay, to the mountain views to the south east and west these views really have to be seen to be believed. Standing proudly at the top of a mountain on the outskirts of the village of Giolou, the property is reached via a private road which leads from the main Paphos to Polis road but the property is so elevated that the silence is deafening!!

The grounds are entered via electronic remote controlled iron gates.

Once through the gates we come to a parking area large enough to park at least 5 cars as well as a covered car port – very important for protection against the fierce Mediterranean sun.

Everything about this property shouts originality and style and this is obvious from the arched stone clad porch which leads to the front door.

Once through the glass fronted double front doors the very generously sized lounge is immediately in front of you.

The lounge currently contains a plush 2 piece settee, 2 leather chairs and footrests, a flat screen T.V. and sound bar as well as a fully functioning log burner.

Patio doors lead to the covered area and it is from here that the breathtaking views down the valley can first be fully appreciated.

In the morning you can watch the sun rise from here and enjoy breakfast, and after dark as there are so few properties in the vicinity there is virtually no light pollution. On a clear night, and most nights in Cyprus are clear, this is an astronomers paradise. Add this to the twinkling lights of the small villages in the distance and it seems like an almost magical location.

Attractive beamed ceilings add to the character of the lounge.

The thought that has gone into the construction of the villa can be seen by the archway which leads from the lounge to the kitchen/diner giving the appearance of two separate rooms.

The kitchen, which is used solely for cooking, has granite worktops which are lit by spotlights and a Falcon stainless steel range cooker, as well as copious cupboard space and a dining table big enough to accommodate 6 people.

A door leads from the kitchen to the covered veranda overlooking the pool area.

It may sound strange to say that the kitchen is used solely for cooking but the rest of the usual kitchen appliances including washing machine, fridge/freezer, tumble dryer and sink can be found in the adjoining utility room.

To the left of the front door is a purpose built study which currently contains a number of cabinets, bookshelves and computer.

A guest cloakroom leads off the study.

The first of the 3 bedrooms is on the ground floor and like all 3 bedrooms has en suite facilities double patio doors and offers stupendous views over the pool and the surrounding mountains.

Up the imposing staircase we come to the remaining 2 bedrooms.

To the left is the master bedroom and this really is something to behold.

Large enough to include a seating area at the front of the room this bedroom also has an en suite with raised bath and separate double shower , bidet, his and hers sinks, heated towel rails, and modern finished taps.

If this is not impressive enough there is also a dressing room, with copious wardrobe space so as to maximize the size of the bedroom.

Double patio doors lead to the huge balcony.

The third bedroom has an en suite shower room with shower cubicle, heated towel rails and patio doors to the balcony which it shares with the master bedroom.

Try to imagine sitting on this balcony enjoying a late night drink watching the same views as the ground floor covered veranda before going to bed but of course this is from an elevated location.

The property also benefits from under floor heating throughout as well as free wireless internet, 4” UK standard drainage system, and water softener and reverse osmosis water purifier

There is a very large patio area to the south west of the villa which overlooks the lit 12m x 4m solar heated tiled swimming pool complete with Roman steps. This is where you can really appreciate the magnificent sunsets over the Akamas peninsular whilst enjoying a pre- dinner brandy sour.

A BBQ and shower unit can also be found in this area, as well as attractive stone clad walls.

There are also 3 covered pergolas providing 60m2 of shade

The plot is really on 3 levels with one level containing numerous fruit trees including lemon, orange plum and fig as well as plenty of olive trees.

The lower level has Oleander trees which look magnificent when in bloom, and the level at the rear of the villa which can be reached by stone steps has an array of attractive shrubbery.
