Located close to the hamlet of El Romo, in the mountainous countryside between the villages of Comares and Riogordo, this beautiful house offers easy access and total peace and quiet, with beautiful views. Both Comares and Riogordo are within a 10 to 15 minute drive, and there is a nearby country bar/restaurant (2 minutes in the car).

Access is very good, with only a few metres of dirt track. As one drives down the hill towards the house there is a sense of space and peace all around, in a most beautiful, natural enviroment.

The house is the first of three country houses located along the country lane, although there is a reasonable distance between each and no noise at all from any neighhours.

The driveway leads to the 20m2 covered porch, with arches that frame the beautiful views. From here, a door leads into a hallway, and then through an arch into the living room (5 x 4m) with a corner woodburner and plenty of light, with double doors leading back outside. As with the rest of the house, this room has plenty of rustic features, despite being a fairly modern house. It has a high, sloping ceiling with beams and rustic wooden windows with traditional shutters. Beyond, a very short corridor leads to the delightful kitchen/dining room (4 x 4m), again with rustic features and beautiful worktops, plenty of light, and a door leading out to the back terrace and gardens.

Between the living room and the kitchen is bedroom 1 (3 x 3m) with window to the side. Opposite, a corridor leads to bedroom 2, to the right (3.5 x 3m), followed by bedroom 3 (3 x 3m) and to the left, the family bathroom (1.5 x 3m with a bath with overhead shower), and the master bedroom (3.5 x 3.5m) with air conditioning and an ensuite shower room (1.5 x 3m).

Outside there is a very private rear garden, laid mainly to terracing, with plenty of flowering shrubs and bushes, and space for an above ground pool (see our section on Dolce Vita above-ground pools for inspiration!)

Below the main garden the land drops away in terraces to the very bottom of the valley and is planted with almond and olive trees.

This is a beautiful, rustic style, comfortable and low maintenance country house, ideal both for permanent living and as a holiday home.
