This 3-bedroom house was built in 2006 and has the charm of an old Greek village-style house. The whole house is situated on the ground floor.



The house was designed by the owners according to their wishes, together with an architect. On one side of the house is the living room with an open kitchen and on the other side is the master bedroom and the children’s/guest bedrooms, all connected by a small hallway. For privacy reasons, the master bedroom and the guest bedroom are separated by the bathroom.



The kitchen is an open-plan kitchen with a bar-like counter and is painted in creme color. The kitchen countertop is in a wood color, which gives a nice contrast with the country-style tiles on the wall. The shelves, the traditional plate rack, and the classic display cabinet give the kitchen a great village-style image.



The living room has a cozy traditional built sofa around the fireplace with lots of storage in the couches.



To create a traditional look, the owners decided to build a simple fireplace with nice soft curves. Very cozy in the evening on a colder day. Another nice detail of the house is the arched doorway to the hall.



All bedrooms and rooms get enough light through the windows. The master bedroom has a beautiful traditional built sofa bed which gives it a great feeling to sleep in, with a wink to the old times. The bed is a very comfortable king-size bed of 2m x 2m and offers a spacious place for storage underneath.



The house has a large bathroom with a bath/shower and a toilet. A nice feature of the bathroom is the long counter with the cupboard underneath, which is partly closed and partly open, offering a decorative way of arranging your towels.



The wooden shutters give a more country-style feeling and the house is painted white with blue windows to create that real Greek image. All around the house, there is a terrace that is painted in a beautiful Greek pattern. In the front and the back, there is a pergola. The one in the front has a beautiful pink bougainvillea and the one in the back is covered by a vine. There is a fantastic walnut tree on the backside, which gives the BEST shadow on a sunny day and can accommodate a hammock. Of course, there is more than enough space for great barbeques.



In the garden there are 10 olive trees and every November when it is time to harvest them, you can experience the pleasure of collecting them and making your virgin olive oil. Every year you can also make your own marmalade from your fruits. Lemonade, orange juice, mandarin- and fig marmalade are just a few of the delicious products you can make from the fruits of the trees in the garden. Furthermore, there are peach trees, apricot trees, a pomegranate, a pear tree, apple trees, a prune tree, and a real banana tree which gives fantastic small, but delicious bananas.



There are many nut trees as well, an almond tree and a walnut tree. And of course, not to forget, grapes! Different kinds of grape trees in the back of the garden as well as in the pergola. Feel like a Greek God and just pick the grapes straight from the vine. Use the leaves to make nice dolmades, eat the grapes in a nice ‘moustalevria’, or drink the juice.



A new water well has been dug in 2021, providing a private water supply, and a new woodshed was constructed.



Fanes



Fanes is a very picturesque village, with many old houses and with nice small streets. It has a nice center where you can find two minimarkets, a small tourist shop with many nice handmade articles, a hairdresser, two kafenions and a souvlaki place. On the main road, you’ll find a bigger supermarket as well, a pharmacy and another two hairdressers, two petrol stations and a candy shop. From the village, you can reach the house on foot within 6 minutes. The village has a very lively elementary school and an active cultural center which often organizes nice events.



After a 15 minute stroll, you can be at the long nice, and sandy beach of Fanes, where you can swim, windsurf and kitesurf. There is a small fishing harbor and several cozy kafenions and even a beach bar.



Surroundings



Soroni is the closest bigger village and almost everything you need is there, a bigger supermarket, a high school, lots of shops and kafenions and the municipal offices. The cultural club of Soroni has many activities like Greek dancing, activities for children, and more. In Soroni there are possibilities for many different sports like tennis, athletics (there is a big athletic center in Agios Soulas), judo, ballet, and hip hop for the children.



Airport



From Fanes, you can be at the airport in 10 minutes. Even though the airport is easy to reach, there isn't any noise disturbance whatsoever.
