The farm is in a quiet location but only a 10 mins drive to the sandy beaches of Kalyves with its supermarket tavernas, cafes, shops, bank etc.

You can walk to the Cretan village of Armenoi in only 10 minutes with tavernas, cafes, mini market and beautiful river.

Armenoi is 4km inland from Kalyves. It benefits from being close to Kalyves when you need it and its amenities, but a world away in a peaceful, old Cretan village. There is a large tree in the road outside the traditional kafenion, where you can sit and watch the world go by. An excellent butcher’s shop, a chemist and a couple of cafes and tavernas and mini – market. It is impressive with its architecture and history. There are some fine walks through the fertile agricultural land and alongside the streams or up the hill from the square to the old village and some beautifully restored houses.
