Full Description

This double fronted town house in centre of Monda is definately a real find, it is unusal to find a property that retrains so much character. The inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove is the a major feature in the lounge that oozes character with wooden beams and traditional terracta flooring.

The flow of the property is very good with the lounge opening to the dinning room with patio doors leading directly to the inner courtyard that is such an added bonus and a lovely feature of the property. The kitchen is very rustic and in keeping with the style of the property with several charming features including the stove and dresser.

The entrance hall leads you to the lounge, kitchen and clockroom with a staircase leading you up to 4 bedrooms and a guest bathroom. The master bedroom has the added luxury of an ensuite bathroom.

The roof solairum is again spacious with built in bar to enjoy the very best of outdoor living, there is also storage room just off the roof solarium.

Monda is a pretty, whitewashed village at the edge of natural park Sierra de las Nieves, just 15 minutes from the coast of Marbella. Life is peaceful here and at a slow pace. Locals great each other passing by and always have time for a chat or a coffee. Although Monda is an authentic Spanish village, the locals mix very well with the other nationalities present in the village (Dutch, English, Swedish, German).
For a small town, you will be surprised about what this lovely place has to offer. Monda attracts a big group of students each year, as the Marbella Design Academy is situated on the outskirts of the village. There are quite a few bars, restaurants and even two clubs for the younger generation, which are always busy! The fish restaurant with secret garden is a lovely place to enjoy whatever is available that day.. Bar Luna is the place to be and offers the best breakfast and tapas in town, next to live entertainment in Summer.
The village has everything you need, and more: a small supermarket, local bakery, pharmacy, vet clinic, weekly fruit market and did we mention the churros truck on Sunday mornings? The community pool is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and if you continue walking, you can explore the beautiful national park Sierra de las Nieves. This is the ideal place for hiking, biking, motor crossing and horseback riding.
At the top of the mountain, overlooking the village, is its most famous feature: ´Castillo de Monda´, the Monda castle. The hotel, run by Dutch hosts, also has a fabulous restaurant with stunning views over the village and all the way to Málaga.

Monda is 30 minutes ( 37 km.) from the city of Málaga and the airport. The coast of Marbella is only 15 minutes ( 15 km.) away.

What our clients say -

The words honesty and integrity are not generally synonymous with estate agents; Grapevine is an exception. During our lengthy search for a holiday home, Graham spent many hours with us on many viewings giving helpful and professional advice. He was always courteous and informative and a very good timekeeper, something of a rarity in Spain! Hi
