Moncarapacho is the nearest village at only 2km drive and has several nice restaurants, daily fresh market, post office, small supermarkets, banks etc. Olhão is the nearest bigger town with larger supermarkets, famous Morish Market Halls, several ferries that take you to the islands of the famous Ria Formosa. Olhão has become very popular over the last 5 years and now has many nice, small, trendy but still affordable restaurants, cafés and bars. It has a nice mix of expats, tourists and locals so everything stays open all year round! Fuseta is also nearby and has a small beach with a great beach bar, local outdoor fish restaurants which are highly recommended by everyone who has ever been. Fuseta also has its own island which you can go to by ferry several times per day. Faro airport, as well as the towncentres of Loulé and Tavira can be reached within 25 minutes by car.
